Why We Recommend This Experience

At the heart of our Travel Building Blocks is a commitment to the real Yunnan. Unlike many other agencies, we never subcontract our daily experiences to third-party providers.
We have sourced and partnered with these high-altitude wineries—Zhaxi He Tao Shu, Xiao Ling, and Lapu Zangyun Valley—directly. This ensures your visit is truly authentic, locally connected, and provides a direct benefit to the mountain communities. We recommend this experience because these "Skyward Vines," grown at 2,000–3,000 meters, capture the region's wild heart in a way no other product can.

High-Altitude Viticulture in the Clouds

Step into the ethereal embrace of the Himalayas to discover how vines thrive in the clouds. This experience is a deep dive into the unique world of high-altitude wine, where sacred peaks and rugged valleys create a terroir unlike anywhere else on earth.
Experience Highlights:
• The Vineyards of the Gods: Visit one of our three partner wineries—Zhaxi He Tao Shu (Benzilan), Xiao Ling (Cizhong), or Lapu Zangyun Valley (Tacheng)—and walk through vines nurtured by high-plateau sunshine and pure mountain air.
• A Story in Every Sip: Savor a curated tasting of exquisite wines crafted at 2,000–3,000 meters. Your local expert will explain how the altitude, climate, and local traditions (including Tibetan and Catholic influences) shape the flavor profile of each bottle.
• Sacred Landscapes: Enjoy your tasting against the backdrop of Yunnan’s most dramatic scenery, from the Jinsha River valleys to the foothills of the holy Meili Snow Mountain.

How to Use This "Building Block"

This experience is designed to be modular. Depending on your route, you can "snap" this Lego piece into your itinerary at different locations:

In Benzilan: Perfect for a mid-journey break between Shangri-La and Meili Snow Mountain.

In Cizhong: A must-do if you are exploring the historic Catholic heritage of the region.

In Tacheng: Pairs beautifully with a morning visit to the Yunnan Snub-Nosed Monkey National Park.

Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours.
