Day 1: Shangri-La – Ringha Valley

Ringha Valley & Tibetan Temple Walk
Depart from Shangri-La in the afternoon and drive to Ringha Valley, where your journey begins with a gentle 3-hour walk through hills, rivers, forests, and traditional Tibetan villages.
Along the route, observe rural agricultural life and traditional architecture that reflects centuries of highland culture. A key highlight of the walk is a visit to a significant Tibetan Buddhist temple, an important spiritual site for local communities.
In the late afternoon, arrive at the Farm Liotard camp at around 3,350 meters above sea level. Meet the expedition team and settle into the camp atmosphere with snacks and a guided camp visit.
Explore Farm Liotard, a traditional Tibetan house located near the camp, and enjoy light activities and games for children and families.
Before sunset, enjoy an aperitif in the valley light. Dinner follows in the Farm Liotard dining area, featuring a warm communal atmosphere.
End the evening around a campfire under the stars. Overnight in tents.

Day 2: Ringha Valley – Mountain Pastures

Alpine Ridge Walk & 3,600M Mountain Picnic
After breakfast, begin a full-day walk through the surrounding hills, rivers, and forests of Ringha Valley. The route gradually ascends toward open landscapes and higher terrain.
Reach a small mountain pass at around 3,700 meters, where the landscape opens into wide alpine views. Continue to a beautiful mountain pasture at approximately 3,600 meters, where a picnic will be served in a natural highland setting.
After lunch, descend back toward the valley, following gentle trails through forests and open countryside.
Return to camp in the late afternoon. Enjoy afternoon snacks and a pre-sunset aperitif in the valley light.
In the evening, share dinner with a local Tibetan family, experiencing traditional home-style cooking and hospitality.
Overnight in tents at Farm Liotard.

High Altitude Reaction:

1. the average altitude in Yunnan is 1894 meters. Kunming: 1890 meters. Dali: 2050 meters. Lijiang: 2400 meters, Jade Dragon Mountain: 4506 meters. Shangri-La: 3280 meters. We strongly suggest our consumers thoroughly prepare for high-altitude reactions and intense ultraviolet rays. By preparing these, you can take high-altitude reaction medicines or bring some Oxygen Can before you depart.

2. If you suffer any diseases, please advise your doctor before you depart.

There are various kinds of heart disease, high blood pressure, blood diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, diseases of the respiratory system, and so on.

3. We don’t suggest our guests take showers in the first two days in a high-altitude area. If they get cold, it may easily lead to pulmonary edema and encephaloma.

4. Please don’t drink any alcohol, especially any strong liquids, since alcohol will lead to a high severe altitude reaction.
