Quality Guide
Our commitment to quality control
Every travel agency will claim to be the best, but delivering the services as a commitment is another thing. After at least 10 years of experience in the specialized Yunnan-tailored travel industry, we have committed to every trip we designed and provided the services to, most importantly, continually taking feedback from our guests and getting better. Here are our commitments to make sure you will get what you want.
Our commitment and questions you may have:
How local are we?
The most proud part is that we are 100% local; Ki Ki is owned and operated by locals. If a travel company only operates one or two trips to this area, it’s really hard to maintain the service quality and land resources. We only focus on Yunnan and surrounding areas since we want our information to be first-hand, and our people can monitor our services to ensure they meet your demands. If one travel company only runs a few trips to Yunnan, they are not living it, so we are confident we can do better.
Who operates the trip?
We never subcontracted our trip to another party. We take full responsibility for everything, from the trip design to all the land operations. A good service delivery begins with clear, honest communication between our trip advisors and guests. This is our core value and a big difference from other agencies. Our trip advisors, Givers(drivers), and guides all follow our quality guide to ensure your travel experience.
How do we choose the guides and givers(drivers)
A good travel experience relies on the people who serve you in person. They are either the guides or givers (we use givers to refer to drivers in Ki Ki). The good guides and drivers will share the most professional local knowledge from their hearts with the love of their hometown. They also need to provide the services with standards and show empathy for everyone in the group. We only recruit guides and drivers who meet our requirements and pay them a fair income to ensure their service quality.
Can we be flexible in our tour?
Yes, absolutely, all of our tours can be customized, and your daily activities can be adjusted flexibly. If you travel with your kids and families, you can also choose separate routes to let everyone enjoy their vacation. We can provide extra supporting guides and vans. For example, you can go hiking with your friends, while your children can experience the local intangible heritage by making a souvenir by themselves. We can make this all happen.
How do we know our guests?
Our guests come from all over the world for multiple purposes. The primary purposes are family trips, honeymoon trips, friends’ holidays, or even more niche purposes such as adventure trips. We need to know how to infuse different interests into one trip, balance a range of demands into our trip design, and ensure our team can provide the suitable services.
How we balance the interests & feelings of travelers
Imagine you are involved in a trip group that has known each other forever, but only you are a stranger. The whole situation will be awkward and unbalanced. This is why we focus on tailored trips rather than group trips full of strangers and a wired social dynamic. If you are joining our group trips, we will let you know the situation before you choose.
How do we know about our resources?
Does the trip provider know their resources from the internet or their subcontractor? This is an important question. We only trust first-hand information, which comes from our actual experience or feedback from our guests. If the details around a particular resource are opaque, you will spend more time searching the internet.
Can we get what we saw?
Yes, absolutely. The hotels or cars are the ones you saw in the contract. We will assign the specific resource and ensure delivery. Some travel agencies may not have a long-term relationship with those resources, leading to complaints. We are confident that you will get what you have paid for.
Do we know everything before the booking and the departure?
Can the travel provider tell you the most details about the trip? Some routes are charming but may face some uncertainties? Some mountains are spectacular but are unable to reach the top? Yunnan has various landscapes; some areas may face altitude reactions, while the rainforest area needs to worry more about insects.
Do we have a plan B if something goes wrong?
It doesn’t matter how perfect a travel plan is, we all have the opportunity of being inside a surprise. Sometimes, about the weather and policies, we will never say that our trips have finished without surprises. We have a system to ensure we always have a plan B to support. First, do we know which part of the travel will have a higher chance of surprise? The second thing is, if something happens, what is our specific plan or back up itinerary?
Who is running the company, controlling the quality and delivering the service to you?
Whenever you book a travel service, please ask them this question. We guarantee that from the booking to providing services, we will never subcontract any part of the process. Each part represents the quality standards that we hold, from the details of the paper itinerary to the land services, and we are very proud of it.
